Who we are

This website is run by POSITIVEINTERNETMARKETING LIMITED, trading as Positive Internet Marketing. We are a private limited company registered in Scotland, company number SC357489. Registered office: MB10 King James VI Business Centre, Friarton Road, Perth, PH2 8DY.

We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@positiveim.co.uk or on 01738 326995.

What we collect

Enquiry and reality-check forms. When you submit a form on this site, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, email address, and the information you give us about your business. The forms use a hidden anti-spam check; it collects nothing about you.

Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. This only runs if you accept analytics cookies. See our cookie notice.

Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Why we collect it, and the legal basis

We use enquiry data to respond to you, to deliver what you asked for (such as a reality-check), and to follow up about services relevant to your enquiry. Our legal basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a business about its services, and responding is why the form exists. Any follow-up email tells you how to stop further contact, and we stop.

We use analytics data to improve the site. The legal basis is your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell personal data. We do not add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask about.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website: our hosting provider, our email delivery, and Google (for analytics, where you have consented). They process data on our instructions. Google may process analytics data outside the UK; where that happens, safeguards recognised under UK data protection law apply.

We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and to maintain reasonable business records, and no longer. If you’d like your data deleted sooner, ask and we will, unless we have a legal reason to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format. You can also object to our use of it. To exercise any of these, email hello@positiveim.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the new version is published here with an updated date.
